Will joined the Avidity IP Group in 2019, having previously been training at a Birmingham firm of patent and trade mark attorneys.
He is experienced in drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications at the UK and European Patent Offices, and managing the prosecution of applications in numerous counties throughout the world. He also provides advice on patentability and infringement of patents, as well as auditing IP portfolios.
Additionally, Will also has experience in filing registered design applications at the UK and EU Intellectual Property Offices, as well as providing advice on validity and infringement of registered and unregistered designs.
Will graduated with a first-class Mechanical Engineering degree (M.Eng.) from the University of Birmingham. He then moved on to the University of Cambridge (King’s College) to carry out research in the field of advanced manufacturing, and was awarded a research degree (M.Res.) for his thesis on laser-based precision processing.
