Joeeta has over 20 years experience in the Patent and Trade Mark profession having worked in top tier private practice and as an in-house Attorney in a bio-pharmaceutical company. Joeeta is widely experienced in a variety of Life Sciences technologies such as small molecules, pharmaceuticals, biologicals, peptide, antibodies, stem cells, nucleic acid based therapeutics, siRNAs, collagen based implants, diagnostics and medical devises.
Joeeta has represented clients before the EPO in Opposition and Appeal proceedings, appeared on behalf of companies before the USPTO, and held hearings before the Indian Patent Office and UKIPO. Joeeta holds the Intellectual Property Litigation Certificate and has provided litigation support in the UK High Court and in preparation for potential pan-European and US litigation.
As well as being experienced in drafting and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, Joeeta has managed extensive IP portfolios for Universities, SME’s multinationals and public bodies. Joeeta is experienced in handling contracts and licenses, IP Due diligence for M&As, IP Audits, freedom to operate searches and opinions, infringement and validity opinions, competitor reviews and landscaping as well as providing IP training to clients and speaking at conferences on IP matters. Prior to joining the profession Joeeta was a research scientist and worked on Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, analytical chemistry and vaccine development.
